Why I Started My Career Coaching Business: Great Talent Deserves Great Guidance

In every hotel lobby, in every back-of-house hallway, in every interview, I kept seeing it: undeniable talent. Sharp minds, natural leaders, problem-solvers, and people with that rare hospitality instinct — the kind you can't teach — quietly doing their best and often going unnoticed or unsupported and worse, unhired.
And I couldn’t shake the thought: “They don’t need fixing. They just need direction.”
That belief is the reason I started my career coaching business.

I’ve spent years in this industry — recruiting, leading, training, and consulting — and the one truth that keeps surfacing is this: we are surrounded by people with massive potential, but many don’t have the tools, guidance, or encouragement to unlock it.
Sometimes, it’s a résumé that doesn’t tell the right story.
Sometimes, it’s a career path that needs a push or pivot.
And sometimes, it’s just having someone — a coach — to say,
"You're not crazy. You are good at this. Let's build a plan to show it."
Why Coaching Matters — Even for the Best
Think about elite athletes or world-class actors. They don’t “outgrow” coaching. In fact, they lean into it. Because the higher you go, the harder it is to see yourself clearly.
That’s what a good coach does:
Sees what you can’t see
Pushes when you get comfortable
Reminds you of your value when you forget
Sharpens your focus so your talent gets results
I approach career coaching the same way I approach service culture in hospitality: with intention, empathy, and honesty. I'm not here to change who someone is — I'm here to help them amplify what they already bring to the table.
Talent Isn’t Rare — Access Is
The world doesn’t have a talent shortage. It has a guidance shortage, which means it has a leadership shortage.
That’s why I am doing what I am doing. I coach because too many people have been told they’re “not quite right” for a role — when in truth, they just haven’t had someone in their corner.
So whether you’re rewriting your story, aiming for that next leadership role, or just trying to find your footing again — I’m here to help you see what you’re capable of.
And I promise, it’s more than you think. See how I can help: Career Coaching
