Full‑Service Hotel | Greater Cleveland / Independence, OH Area

A well‑capitalized hotel ownership group is seeking a hands‑on, execution‑focused General Manager to lead a full‑service, group‑driven hotel in the Greater Cleveland market. The ownership group is stable, experienced, and committed to long‑term asset performance—not short‑term optics.

The Opportunity

This is a true operator’s role, ideal for a General Manager who thrives in complex, full‑service environments and takes pride in building consistent guest experiences, disciplined operations, and strong leadership teams.

The hotel features:

A sizable guestroom inventory
Meaningful meeting and event space
On‑site food & beverage
A mix of corporate, group, and transient demand
Success here is driven less by brand mechanics and more by leadership, execution, and accountability.

This role IS for a GM who:

Leads from the floor and knows their operation cold
Is energized by stabilizing and improving service consistency
Understands how rooms, F&B, engineering, and sales actually intersect
Believes culture is built through standards, presence, and follow‑through

Key Responsibilities

Full P&L ownership across Rooms, F&B, and Events
Drive consistent execution in housekeeping, front office, and maintenance
Lead and develop department heads with clear expectations and accountability
Partner closely with Sales to ensure promises align with operational delivery
Actively manage guest satisfaction, service recovery, and online reputation
Build labor discipline while maintaining a positive, professional culture
Serve as the on‑property leader and primary steward of the asset

Requirements

  • Full‑service hotel GM experience (or senior AGM/Director role ready for GM in a similar asset)

  • Experience with older or complex physical plants

  • Proven success stabilizing or improving guest satisfaction scores

  • Strong understanding of labor management and departmental cost control

  • Comfort working in group‑ and meeting‑driven hotels

  • A calm, confident leadership style rooted in clarity and consistency

About the Company

I believe great hospitality starts with great people—and those people deserve a hiring experience built on trust, respect, and real connection. With over three decades of hotel operations, sales, and leadership experience, I know that when teams feel valued, they perform at their best.
I don’t ghost, rush, or treat anyone like a number. Instead, we build genuine relationships, present only true “semi‑finalists,” and stand by our “Hire for Good” promise that gives back with every placement.
